Who is VIA DC ?

Independent expert in datacenter consulting, VIA DC is involved at all levels, from identifying the target (construction site, takeover of an existing operator, etc.) to securing the project.

We operate in over 10 countries in Europe, with in-depth knowledge of markets, local regulations, energy networks and connectivity.

Where does VIA DC ?

In 2015, Jean-Paul Calès (then Chairman of CAP INGELEC) and Olivier Labbé co-founded the company Cap DC, to support the Group's international expansion CAP INGELEC in the Datacenter market. The chosen strategic plan covered Southern Europe and French-speaking Africa.

Deployment in Southern Europe has been crowned with success, and now accounts for almost 25% of Group sales, in major countries such as Spain, Portugal, Italy and more recently Greece.

Deployment in Africa has been slower, with the arrival of colocation players only recently and with contractual models still far removed from the design-and-build approach now favored by the Group.

Finally, the CAP INGELEC is no longer limited to the datacenter market, and is increasingly targeting the design and construction of industrial buildings, high-tech industries, cleanrooms, food processing plants and their critical utilities (water, HVB, energy).

At the start of 2024, Matthieu Calès and Olivier Labbé announce a new strategic direction.

Visit Cap DC become direct entities of CAP INGELEC, to enable development across the Group's entire portfolio.

A spin-off from Cap DC is created, named VIA DC, to take over technical consulting expertise for the development of datacenter projects in Europe. This company will be external to the CAP INGELEC.

Finally, Cap INGELEC sells its stake in African Cap DC to a new French structure, BLUESUN AFRICA, owned by Olivier Labbé and 2 European datacenter engineering firms.

CAP INGELEC is thus demonstrating its ambition to pursue growth specifically in Europe in the industrial turnkey markets, already firmly established in France and Spain. With VIA DC and BLUESUN DC, Olivier Labbé has taken over several Cap DC, who can work independently with CAP INGELEC in the datacenter market.
